New Delhi . During the ongoing discussion on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi mentioned excerpts from an unpublished book, which created an uproar. On this, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi in a press conference on Wednesday. While talking to journalists, Nishikant Dubey alleged that Rahul Gandhi has held the Parliament hostage for the last three days and he is citing a book which has not even been published. He said, “The President’s address is being discussed in Parliament for the last three days. This is the first time that I have seen an opposition leader so incapable of supporting or opposing the address. Rahul Gandhi does not even have basic knowledge of the rules and procedures of the Lok Sabha. He stood up and started mentioning a book which has not been published till date. How can a book which has not been published be discussed? This is beyond my understanding.” Dubey further said that if Parliament can be stopped for three days in the name of an unprinted book, then there are many such books which have been printed but are banned in India. Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, he said that the Leader of Opposition is very fond of ‘playing with books’, so today the discussion should be on books only. After this he mentioned many books which raise questions on the Nehru-Gandhi family and are banned in India.
Referring to the books, he said that the first book is ‘India Independent’ written by Charles, in which it is claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru along with Mountbatten and Edwina got the country divided. This book was banned in 1964. The second book ‘Edwina and Nehru’ is a novel, which mentions the relationship between Nehru and Edwina, like what time and where they used to meet, and how little Nehru had to do with the country’s politics. This is also banned.
Nishikant Dubey further said that ‘The Life of Indira Nehru Gandhi’ has alleged Indira Gandhi’s immoral relations, relations with various people and taking money from KGB, which affected the politics of the country. The fourth book, ‘Nehru: A Political Biography’, contains allegations of Nehru’s efforts to disintegrate India, deceit and betrayal during his tenure from 1921-22 to 1964, as well as his immoral relationships.
The BJP MP told that the fifth book is ‘Beginners and Nehru Age’, in which Haru’s PA M.O. Mathai’s revelations are that Indira Gandhi lived with him like his wife for 12 years. There are also allegations of corruption. This is also banned.
Dubey also mentioned other books like ‘Ceasefire’, ‘The Art of India’, ‘Nepal’, ‘Captive Kashmir’ and ‘Himalayan Blunder’ and said that the alleged truth of the Congress family has been shown in it.
