Niwai (Tonk) A minor dispute between two parties of the same family turned into a bloody conflict on Friday night in Kheda ki Dhani of Bhanvta village of Niwai police station area. A 70-year-old man lost his life in the fight, while three other people from both sides were seriously injured. The house where wedding bells were supposed to ring on April 20 is now in mourning.
According to the information, the root of the dispute was a wedding to be held on April 20. Preparations were going on for the marriage of accused Kajod’s nephew Abhishek. A guest at the wedding abused the daughter-in-law of deceased Prabhu Bairava. There was an altercation between the two sides regarding this matter and soon sticks were used. Prabhu Bairava (70), who was seriously injured during the fight, was taken to the Government Sub District Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The son of the deceased was also injured in the attack. At the same time, Kajod Bairava and Murtiya Devi (65) from the other side have also suffered serious injuries, whose treatment is going on.
On Saturday morning, angry family members and villagers protested outside the hospital and blocked the bus stand road demanding immediate arrest of the accused. The traffic system came to a standstill due to the jam, due to which the administration had to divert the route.
Considering the sensitivity of the incident, DYSP Raviprakash Sharma and Police Officer Ghasiram Meena reached the spot with heavy weapons. Police officials assured the protesters of appropriate action and early arrests. After about half an hour of hard work and persuasion, the villagers removed the jam. However, even after the post-mortem, the family members refused to accept the body, but after repeated persuasion by the police, the body was handed over for cremation.
Police have registered a case under sections of murder in this matter. The police station officer said that the matter is being investigated seriously and teams have been formed to search for the suspects involved in the incident. At present, police force has been deployed to maintain peace in the village.
