Noida . Chaitra Navratri has started across the country on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month. This time Navratri has started with many auspicious coincidences, due to which its importance has increased even more. It is believed that the Hindu New Year begins from this day. On the first day of Navratri, Maa Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, is worshiped with rituals. Long queues of devotees were seen in the temples since morning. Many devotees worship Goddess Durga by fasting for nine days and pray for happiness and prosperity.
