Noida . Chaitra Navratri has started across the country on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month. This time Navratri has started with many auspicious coincidences, due to which its importance has increased even more. It is believed that the Hindu New Year begins from this day. On the first day of Navratri, Maa Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, is worshiped with rituals. Long queues of devotees were seen in the temples since morning. The atmosphere became devotional with the chants of ‘Jai Mata Di’ in the temples.
Devotees are seeking blessings of the Mother Goddess by offering fruits, flowers, coconut and chunari. Special enthusiasm is being seen among women and youth. Many devotees worship Goddess Durga by fasting for nine days and pray for happiness and prosperity. At the same time, in view of the huge crowd, the administration also appeared to be completely alert.
Strict security arrangements have been made by the police and local administration. Additional police forces have been deployed around major temples. Also, monitoring is being done through CCTV cameras.
To maintain the smooth traffic system, a special route plan has been implemented, so that the devotees do not have to face any kind of inconvenience. The administration has also appealed to the people to exercise caution in crowded places and follow traffic rules.
The health department is also on alert mode, so that immediate assistance can be provided in case of any emergency. In this way, Chaitra Navratri has started with full enthusiasm amidst devotion, enthusiasm and strict security arrangements. The process of religious events, bhajan-kirtan and worship will continue across the country for the coming nine days.
