London tech company Nothing is preparing to launch its new smartphones, Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro. According to leaks, both models can arrive in India on March 5. This time, the company is taking a big step away from flagship into the mid-range segment. Nothing CEO Carl Pei has already hinted that the new 4a series will have several major upgrades over the Phone 3a. Now, the new information has made the price, specifications and storage options more clear.
Launch date and expected price in India
According to leaks, Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro can be launched in India on March 5. The price of Phone 4a is expected to start from around ₹31,999, while the Pro variant can be bought for around ₹41,999.
Powerful display and latest processor combination
The Nothing Phone 4a Pro is expected to feature a larger 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This feature is considered very important for gaming and smooth scrolling. The phone is rumored to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which can make it quite strong in terms of performance. The standard Phone 4a is also expected to have a 6.82-inch display, but its refresh rate is expected to be 120Hz. It may have Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.
Major upgrades in camera and battery
The Pro variant is expected to have a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup. There is also expected to be a 50-megapixel front camera, which will improve selfies and video calling experiences. The Phone 4a is expected to have a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. There is a possibility of a 32-megapixel camera in the front. Talking about the battery, the Pro model may have a 5080mAh battery, while the standard model may have a 5500mAh battery. There is also talk on 80W fast charging support.
Storage, design and software details
According to leaks, both phones can come in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB storage variants. The company has confirmed UFS 3.1 storage, although it is not clear whether it will be standard in both models or not. Design-wise, Nothing may retain its signature transparent look, but slight changes can be seen. The Pro model may come with Nothing OS 4 based on Android 16, while the Phone 4a may run on Nothing OS based on Android 15.
