The NDA in Bihar is preparing for the upcoming assembly elections. Meanwhile, a big information has come out from the corridors of power. This time the ticket of more than 18 BJP MLAs is in danger. Party sources have indicated that many BJP MLAs can be cut tickets in Bihar, it is believed that the BJP is avoiding to field such MLAs this time against whom there is a sense of opposition in the area.

Candidates will be announced after 6 October

It is also known that the party has almost prepared the list of all its candidates. The formal announcement of which is likely to be held after the release of the election schedule by the Election Commission after 6 October. Quoting a senior Bihar BJP leader, The New Indian Express said that the Union Home Minister and the party’s chief strategist Amit Shah has discussed the selection of candidates in more than 145-150 seats. These include several seats in Bettiah, Samastipur, Araria and Seemanchal region. It may be noted that in the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP lost about 35 seats including Siwan, Sonpur, Raghopur, Muzaffarpur, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Danapur and Maner by a minor margin.

Nikhil can get tickets from Maner seat

Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is currently the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar from Raghopur. It is believed that Nikhil Anand is preparing to contest from Maner seat. He is the general secretary of the BJP’s National OBC Front. In the last election too, the BJP fielded Nikhil from this seat.

Chance for new faces

Currently, RJD’s brother Birendra Maner is an MLA from the seat. Even before getting a BJP ticket, Nikhil is continuously conducting public relations campaign in the region. At the same time, there is also a discussion inside the BJP that instead of existing MLAs in the party area, new faces can be given a chance. It is also believed that this time the BJP can distribute tickets keeping in mind the women’s power and youth power. BJP can make women and youth candidates in most seats in Bihar.

BJP sources also claim that this time BJP can adopt Madhya Pradesh assembly election model in Bihar elections. This time the BJP is considering fielding the current and former MPs in the state elections. Saran MPs Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Ramkripal Yadav and RK Singh can contest the assembly elections this time. Many ministers of the state, including Mangal Pandey, are preparing to contest elections from their region.
