Jaipur. As per the decision of the state government, this time Rajasthan Day is being celebrated on Shukla Pratipada (19 March) of Chaitra.
Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Art, Literature and Culture and Archeology Department, Praveen Gupta said that a grand cultural evening will be organized on Thursday at 7:00 pm in the premises of Albert Hall, Jaipur. In which Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and dignitaries will be present. He said that Rajasthan Day is a celebration of our rich heritage and culture. On this occasion, performances will be given by Padmashree Anwar Khan Manganiyar and team and Padmashree Tagaram Bhil and team on Thursday in a cultural evening decorated with music, rhythm and rhythm. In the grand cultural evening, there will be spectacular performances of Ghoomar, Kalbelia, Chari, Kachhi Ghodi, Bhavai, Teen Dhol, Gair, Chang Dhap, Kathak and other arts. A well-decorated and colorful dance and musical performance (coordinated by Lok Chhand Cultural Unit, Delhi) with more than 100 folk artistes and Kathak dancers will also be performed.
On this occasion, performances by local artists, Kathak dance and attractive choreography will be presented. Grand fireworks will also be organized in the program.
Additional Chief Secretary Gupta said that on the occasion of Rajasthan Day, various programs are being organized by the Department of Art, Literature, Culture and Archeology, various academies, Jawahar Kala Kendra and Ravindra Manch. He informed that various programs will be organized across the state including Jaipur.
Dr. Anuradha Gogia, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Art, Literature, Culture and Archeology and Additional Director General of Jawahar Kala Kendra, said that under the Rajasthan Day Celebration, 2026, Jawahar Kala Kendra will present a morning raga in the Krishnayana auditorium of the center from 8 am, under which a classical singing presentation by Pandit Anand Vaidya and group of Ajmer will be organised. Under the participation of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Braj Bhasha Poet and Litterateur Award Ceremony-2026 will be organized by Rajasthan Braj Bhasha Academy under the joint aegis of Aru Podyar Sansthan in Rangayan Auditorium between 12 noon to 4 pm, in which there will be presentation of Braj poetry recitation, cultural program and Holi of flowers.
After that, under the participation of Rajasthan Urdu Academy and Jawahar Kendra, there will be a presentation of mand singing and ghazal singing by Padmashree Ustad Ali Mohammad and Ustad Gani Mohammad in Shilpgram of the center from 6 pm onwards.
After that, as part of the concluding presentation of the Rajasthan Day celebrations, the center will organize a presentation by the famous band Retila Band from 7:00 pm in the intermediate auditorium. In this, director Govind Singh Bhati will present his fusion band along with the famous Langa and Manganiyar artists of Western Rajasthan.
