Patna, 27 December (). Now less than a fortnight is left for the arrival of the new year i.e. 2026. The people of Bihar have started preparing to welcome the new year 2026. In the meantime, we want to preserve the memories of the past events of 2025.
Although the names of many young leaders were seen emerging in the politics of Bihar this year, the influence of Nitish Kumar, popularly known as ‘Good Governance Babu’, remained intact this year also. To keep Nitish Kumar away from power in the Bihar Assembly elections held this year, not only were talks made about his ill health, giving command to young faces in Bihar and running the state by officials. As young faces, Tejashwi Yadav, Vikassheel Insaan Party’s Mukesh Sahni, Jan Suraj’s Prashant Kishore, apart from Congress leaders from Rahul Gandhi to Priyanka Gandhi, entered the election campaign field, but NDA returned to power under the leadership of Nitish Kumar by taking more seats than in the last election.
Voters preferred the face of Nitish Kumar instead of any new youth. If we look at the elections, the grand alliance of opposition parties called for a change of power in the election field by calling Tejashwi Yadav as the face of the Chief Minister, but Nitish Kumar, as per his nature, was reaching out among the public and counting his works and appealing to vote for them. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav had announced the date of swearing in with his claim of victory, but the public again handed over power to ‘Good Governance Babu’.
Tejashwi and Prashant Kishor flopped in the elections, Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ also had no impact on Bihar. While this election result once again gave the message of new beginning to Jan Suraj and Vikassheel Insaan Party, Chirag Paswan’s party, which has established itself as a young face, proved with tremendous success that the result of 100 percent success in the Lok Sabha was no fluke.
It is a different matter that the voters of Bihar once again expressed confidence in the face of Nitish Kumar in the elections, but BJP surprised everyone by bringing forward its young leaders from Bihar.
BJP surprised everyone by handing over the responsibility of National Working President to Bankipur MLA and Bihar Minister Nitin Nabin. For the first time, such a big responsibility has been entrusted to a leader of Bihar. After this appointment, BJP has given a clear message that the party is now busy in preparing the second generation by taking the youth forward.
By handing over the responsibility of state president to Darbhanga MLA Sanjay Saraogi, BJP also made it clear that the leadership can give the responsibility of any post of the party to any worker. There is enthusiasm among the workers after these two appointments.
While this year did not prove to be good for the young leaders of the opposition, many dreams of the young leaders of NDA have been fulfilled.
