Beijing. Rajasthan, one of the most beautiful states of India, is famous throughout the world for its forts, palaces and colorful culture. Every year lakhs of tourists visit here. However, compared to other countries the number of Chinese tourists visiting Rajasthan is less. In view of this, Rajasthan Tourism Road Show is being organized to promote tourism in China. A large number of people participated in the program held at the Indian Embassy in the capital Beijing on Monday, in which people interested about Rajasthan as well as Chinese influencers and officials of the Indian Embassy and Rajasthan government were present. Rajasthan, which is also known as the cultural capital of India, received a total of 25.4 crore tourists last year, which included 19.5 lakh foreign tourists. But the number of Chinese tourists among them was not much, especially after the Corona epidemic, this situation has come to the fore. In view of the large number of Chinese tourists visiting other countries, the Rajasthan government has sent a team to China to promote the tourism of its state. Which is organizing tourism shows in Beijing and Shanghai.
During this show, Chinese people were given information about various tourist places of Rajasthan. For example, the capital Jaipur (Pink City) is famous for its beauty, the world famous Hawa Mahal and Amer Fort are present here. Whereas in Udaipur, famous as the City of Lakes, along with the Floating Water Palace, the City Palace also fascinates the tourists. Jaisalmer Fort looks different in Jaisalmer i.e. Golden City, and Mehrangarh Fort and Hotel Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur are no less attractive.
On the other hand, Ranthambore National Park located in Sawai Madhopur is spread over an area of 400 square km, which shows the beauty of wildlife and nature in Rajasthan. Along with this, Rajasthan has the famous Thar Desert on the western edge of the Aravalli mountain range. It is also the largest desert area in India. In this way, tourists visiting Rajasthan are never disappointed, because there are various resources available to see and visit there.
In the program, Rajasthan Tourism Department Commissioner Rukmani Riar mentioned various historical and cultural heritages while inviting Chinese tourists to visit her state. He said that everything is available for the people visiting Rajasthan, today Rajasthan is very popular even among the youth. Whereas big Hollywood and Bollywood film stars organize weddings and parties here, which tells the beauty of Rajasthan in itself. Palace on Wheels (luxury train) also runs in Rajasthan, which takes you to important tourist places across Rajasthan.
On this occasion, Minister Shweta Singh, while giving a speech at the Embassy, said that tourism between India and China does not just mean tourism but also the union of each other’s civilization and culture. He said that we are working towards improving relations with China through various means, tourism is one of them. He also mentioned “Atithi Devo Bhava”, which means the guest is like God.
As we know that Buddhism came to China from India and the heritage related to Buddhism is often found around Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Hardly some people would know that the roots of Buddhism are spread in Rajasthan also. The main heritage sites here are present in Jaipur, Jhalawar and Chittorgarh. Which are visible in the form of ancient Buddhist monasteries, stupas and caves.
In this way, there is good potential for Buddhist and religious tourism in Rajasthan. However, there is a famous and traditional slogan in Rajasthan, “Padharo Mhare Desh”, i.e. come to my country, which reflects the spirit of welcome and hospitality of this state. There is no doubt that through this program held in Beijing, a message was given to Chinese tourists to visit our country.
