Jammu. NIA on Monday filed a charge sheet against seven accused in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack. Regarding this, former Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid said on Tuesday that there is strong evidence in the NIA charge sheet regarding Pakistan’s terrorist cooperation. Speaking to , former Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid said, “A lot of things have come to light in the investigation. The charge sheet has revealed that Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba and their local front TRF were the ones planning this terrorist attack and later carried it out.” The former DGP said, “TRF and Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out the Pahalgam terrorist attack. After that, Sajid Bhatt, who was their handler, who did all the planning while sitting in Pakistan, has been made the main accused. Three Pakistani terrorists were killed under ‘Operation Mahadev’. There were also two locals who had given shelter to the terrorists in Pahalgam and helped in conducting recce. Their names are also in the charge sheet. In the charge sheet Things have been stated with full evidence.”
On the viral video of Jaish-e-Mohammed leader and dreaded terrorist Masood Azhar, he said, “In the video, Masood is crying and remembering how he was beaten in Kot Bhalwal jail. This is the incident when he was in jail. I was DIG, Jammu at that time. Terrorists had tried to dig a tunnel from inside the jail. Azhar Masood and his Pakistani associates wanted to escape from the jail, But before this tunnel was completed, they were caught.”
SP Vaid said, “He was creating a lot of bullying in the jail, Pakistan wanted to get him out of the jail by some means. Pakistan had sent a group of 7 terrorists to escape the prisoners in the jail. The terrorists were going to free all the Pakistanis by attacking the jail. Before the terrorists could succeed in their nefarious plan, we had got the news of this. Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces together killed all the seven terrorists in an encounter. A map was also found from the terrorists, which was of the jail.
