Tawdu. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that Tawadu area situated in the lap of Aravali is known in the entire state for its hardworking, self-respecting and struggling people. The land of Mewat has always carried forward the tradition of courage, sacrifice and self-respect. The role played by the people here in the struggle from the first war of independence in 1857 till the attainment of independence is inscribed in golden letters on the pages of history. The Chief Minister was addressing the Sohna-Tawadu Development Rally developed at the grain market of Tawadu of Sohna Assembly on Sunday. He also congratulated the gathering present on the holy festival of Mahashivratri and said that this holy festival provides us an opportunity to have darshan of Lord Shiva and connect with his philosophy of life. Mahashivratri teaches us that when darkness increases in life, then light the lamp of self-reflection. He said that may this Shivratri provide health, peace, courage and success in everyone’s life, may there be energy in your every endeavor and wisdom in your decisions, may there be light of hope in every day. Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 16 development projects costing Rs 47 crore 36 lakh. These include 11 inaugurations costing Rs 21 crore 77 lakh 25 thousand and 5 foundation stones costing Rs 25 crore 58 lakh 58 thousand. Saini said that the crowd gathered in Tawadu Sohna Development Rally is a proof that you have deep faith in the intentions, policies and public welfare schemes of the BJP government. On the strength of this belief, Bharatiya Janata Party has got the opportunity of public service in Haryana for the third consecutive time, he said with full confidence that no stone will be left unturned in the development of the area.
He said that to speed up the development of Sohna constituency, 62 CM announcements were made in the tenure of 11 years. Of these, work on 49 has been completed and work on 13 is in progress. Referring to the development works done in Sohna assembly constituency, he said that the BJP government has spent Rs 1,515 crore in the last 11 years on development works in this constituency. Whereas, only Rs 222 crore was spent during the 10 years of Congress rule.
The Chief Minister said that an amount of Rs 12 crore 10 lakh has been sanctioned for the special repair of 3 roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Construction of underground drinking water reservoirs and connecting them with pipelines has been done in 54 villages of Tawadu block at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Referring to the Sankalp Patra-2024, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that we do what we say. The proof of this is that we have fulfilled 60 out of 217 promises in our manifesto for the last assembly elections in just one year. Not only this, work is in progress on 157 promises.
He said that the budget session of Haryana Assembly is going to start from 20th February. The government has consulted all the stakeholders to make the state budget a common man’s budget. The government is preparing the new budget only on the basis of consultation. Through this, work will be done to bring the slogan of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas on the ground. The Chief Minister said that the present 3.0 non-stop BJP government, even in its third term, has taken many concrete steps for the all-round development of the state and protection of the interests of every section.
The Chief Minister took the opposition to task for misleading the common people regarding pension. He said that those who are giving statements today should first look into their own affairs that during their rule, pension was not given for 6 months. The BJP government has increased the pension by Rs 2200 in the last 11 years. The elderly do not need to worry in any way regarding pension. The Chief Minister also mentioned the scheme run by the government for the treatment of the elderly.
The Chief Minister said that farmers’ interests are at the center of our policies. Today all 24 crops of farmers are being purchased at minimum support price. Till now, Rs 1 lakh 64 thousand crore has been deposited in the accounts of 12 lakh farmers for crop purchase. In the last 11 years, an amount of Rs 15 thousand 448 crore has been given to farmers as compensation for crop failure in the state and under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme.
The Chief Minister said that paperless registration of lands and properties has been started in the entire state. Now the registry work has become completely digital. The creamy layer income limit of backward class has been increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. He said that 1 lakh 56 thousand houses have been given under ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ to provide roof over the heads of the poor. Under ‘Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Urban’, plots have been given to 15 thousand 765 poor families in 14 cities. Under ‘Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Gramin’, 12 thousand 31 plots have been given in Gram Panchayats.
He said that now no poor will be deprived of treatment due to lack of money. Under ‘Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Yojana’, about 26 lakh patients have been given free treatment worth Rs 4 thousand 126 crore. The state government has started free dialysis services in all government hospitals and medical colleges for patients suffering from kidney disease. Day care cancer centers have been launched by the government in 17 districts on 11 February. With the opening of these centres, treatment of cancer patients in 22 districts will become easier.
The Chief Minister said that this government is also doing the work of providing employment with full transparency and without any slip. Whereas everyone knows what the condition was in the previous governments. He said that in the last one year, 36 thousand youth have been given government jobs without any charges. Together, 1 lakh 80 thousand jobs have been provided in the last 11 years. The Common Eligibility Test was successfully conducted in the month of July last. Its result has also been declared. Similarly, 1 lakh 18 thousand youth appointed through Haryana Skill Employment Corporation have been given employment security.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana Overseas Employment Cell was created to help the youth looking for employment abroad. Recently, the Foreign Cooperation Department has provided offer letters to 390 youth to work abroad. Today, vacancies for 7 thousand 500 construction workers are live on the portal. He said that the BJP government is doing public welfare work at a rapid pace even in its third term. He also appealed that we all take a pledge that we will make Haryana the first developed state. During this, program coordinator and MLA Tejpal Tanwar welcomed the distinguished guests and the huge crowd who arrived at the rally.
On this occasion, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram Metropolitan District President Ajit Singh, former minister Sanjay Singh, Gurugram District President Sarvpriya Tyagi, Nuh District President Surendra Pintu, SC Morcha State President Satyaprakash Jaravata, former MLA and in-charge Rajkumar Bohra, Sandeep Joshi, Zakir Hussain, Chand Mohammad, Foundation Chairperson Payal Kanodia, Pradeep Saini were also present.
