New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas. PM Modi spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’ that he called his friend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on the progress made under US President Donald Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan. He said that we welcome the agreement on the release of hostages and on increasing humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza. Emphasized that terrorism in any shape or form is unacceptable anywhere in the world.
Earlier, in a post on his official ‘X’ handle, Prime Minister Modi said, “We welcome the agreement on the first phase of President Trump’s ‘Peace Plan’. It is also a symbol of the strong leadership of Prime Minister Netanyahu.”
“We hope that the release of the hostages and increased humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza will provide relief and pave the way for lasting peace,” he wrote in the post.
Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar has thanked Prime Minister Modi while replying to his post.
Earlier, Ambassador Reuven Azar posted, “Grateful for the efforts of the Israeli delegation and all concerned in reaching the agreement to release all our hostages. Special thanks to US President Donald Trump. We will soon see peace restored and free from terrorist threats. Appreciate India’s continued support.”
