PM Modi is on Gujarat tour today. Here, at Vav-Tharad, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth over ₹20,000 crore. Addressing a public meeting on this occasion, PM Modi said, “Just a few days ago, the holy festival of Navratri has concluded. It is by the grace of Maa Amba that today I have got the privilege of having darshan of her holy feet. It is with her blessings, today I have also got the opportunity to have darshan of all of you—my own family members. I bow at the feet of Maa Amba. It is also a happy coincidence that today we are celebrating Lord Mahavir Jayanti. This area of ours is home to many Jain pilgrimages. It is the land of places. I bow to Lord Mahavir and extend my best wishes to all of you on this holy day of public welfare – Mahavir Jayanti.”
‘The plane landed at Deesa airbase’
PM Modi said, “Today, one more thing makes me very happy. When I reached here today, for the first time, my plane landed directly at Deesa airbase. Deesa airbase is located just 130 kilometers from the international border. You can well understand how important it is for the security of the country. However, the work on Deesa airbase has not started today. I had started the process of land acquisition when I was serving as the Chief Minister; we have done this Recognized that Deesa is of utmost strategic importance for the national security and defense of India’s western border, perhaps there was some unfounded hatred in the minds of the people in Delhi. As a result, this very important project of national security remained buried in the government files only after you sent me to Delhi; and today, it is the result of those efforts that a huge Air Force base has been established in Deesa.

‘Development projects worth more than ₹20,000 crore launched’
PM Modi further said, “Today, development projects worth more than ₹20,000 crore are being launched. These initiatives will transform the entire region, especially through significant progress in the energy, roads, railways and housing sectors. These will inject new momentum and enthusiasm into the lives of the people here. I extend my heartiest congratulations to Gujarat on the launch of these projects. All of you in the Vav-Tharad and Banaskantha regions know very well the deep affection I have always had for this region. Frankly, I can never forget the immense love you have shown me. We have tried to take Gujarat forward as much as possible. These projects, jointly undertaken by the Central and State governments, will completely change the life of this region. Will provide.”
‘Gujarat: A leading state in solar energy’
PM Modi said, “Today, Gujarat stands as a leading state in the field of solar energy, and its achievements are truly commendable. The state is at the forefront of renewable energy development in India; it started paying attention to this sector when very little attention was being paid to it at the national level. In 2010, during my tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, I took the initiative to set up a solar park—it was a multi-technology project that launched the solar energy movement in the region. Given the scale and manner in which solar energy is currently being implemented in Gujarat—such as the Khawra Renewable Energy Park projects that have just been launched—the day is not far when Gujarat will emerge as a major global hub for renewable energy.”
‘Vikas’ superfast express will continue to increase its speed’
PM Modi said, “Today I am reminded of the decades-old situation here. No one can forget those days, when on hearing the name of North Gujarat, a completely different picture emerged in people’s minds. Who can forget the drought, famine and other such difficulties? Who can forget that life – a life which was full of struggles, and in which one had to face continuous neglect from the Congress government? Those were the days when many kilometers Water had to be brought from far away. We have built high-speed highways. Now Gujarat is getting the benefit of high-speed trains. As long as your trust remains, the ‘Superfast Express’ will continue to move ahead.
‘India was successful in keeping the situation under control’
Speaking on the situation in West Asia, PM Modi said, “For the past one month, many countries around the world have been battling war, anarchy and instability. In particular, the situation in West Asia is having a deep impact on the global level, leading to an energy crisis that is affecting countries across the world. Amidst these challenges, India has been successful in maintaining stability and keeping the situation under control. This strength was possible due to India’s effective foreign policy and the unity of its people. However, some political parties are taking advantage of the current crisis to make political gains—at a time when the country desperately needs unity, Congress leaders are spreading fear and rumours, thereby weakening the collective strength needed to face these difficult times.
