Hazaribagh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for the 127th time through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program on Sunday, on the day of Kharna of Chhath, the great festival of folk faith. In his address, PM Modi extended hearty greetings to the countrymen on the occasion of Chhath and described Chhath as a symbol of unity. When Prime Minister Modi mentioned Chhath festival, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the people of Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern India. In Hazaribagh, people were listening to ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program with their families and as soon as the Prime Minister mentioned Chhath, a wave of happiness ran in the houses and localities.

Manmeet Akela, a resident of Hazaribagh, while talking to , said that at present, preparations for Chhath are going on in almost every house. In such a situation, the importance of this festival has increased further due to the mention of this festival by the Prime Minister. Earlier this festival was considered mainly limited to Bihar and Jharkhand, but now after the Prime Minister’s address, people across the country will be curious to know the importance of Chhath.
At the same time, Anoop Chandravanshi said that Chhath has always been a festival of unity and public faith. Today, when the Prime Minister includes it in the program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, it will further increase the fame of this festival. Earlier too, he had congratulated the countrymen on Chhath through social media, due to which special enthusiasm was seen among the people.
Vishwanath Soni said, “Our entire family listens to the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ regularly. Today, when he discussed Chhath festival, an atmosphere of happiness was created in our family. At this time, Chhath preparations are in full swing in all the houses, hence this message of the Prime Minister is very inspiring.”
He further said, “The impact of Prime Minister Modi’s call to use indigenous products is visible across the country, people are now proudly using Indian products. This is not only a symbol of economic self-reliance, but also restores cultural pride.”
