New Delhi, December 25 (). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the national program organized to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 26 December 2025. The Prime Minister will address the program organized on Friday afternoon at around 12.15 pm.
Giving information on social media platform X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas on Friday, I will attend a program organized at Bharat Mandapam. During the programme, I will also interact with the recipients of the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) informed that to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas, the Central Government is organizing several programs across the country. Its objective is to tell and educate people about the extraordinary courage and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzade Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and to honor and commemorate the indomitable courage, sacrifice and bravery of the young heroes of Indian history.
These activities will include story telling about heroes, poetry recitation, poster making and essay writing competitions. These programs will be organized in schools, child care institutions, Anganwadi centers and other educational institutions and through online mode on My Gov and My Bharat portals.
The PMO said that on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on 9 January 2022, the Prime Minister had announced to celebrate 26 December as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ so that the martyrdom of Sahibzadas can always be remembered whose unmatched sacrifice has been inspiring generations. Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award winners will also be present during the program.
At the same time, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award (PMRBP) will be given to children who have achieved extraordinary achievements in various fields. These awards will be presented by the President of India Draupadi Murmu at a special ceremony organized in New Delhi.
According to the Central Government, these awards are given for extraordinary excellence in the fields of bravery, art and culture, environment, social service, science and technology and sports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present on the occasion of this national event of Veer Bal Diwas. The Prime Minister will address children and youth on this occasion and will highlight the role of young citizens in nation building. Through this program the courage, sacrifice and exemplary values of the young heroes of India will be remembered.
