Proper protection of farmers' interests and timely implementation of all decisions: Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma held a review meeting with senior officials at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday regarding the interests of the interested parties of Panchna Dam. While discussing various points in detail, he also gave guidelines regarding timely and effective action towards a permanent solution. The Chief Minister said that along with the necessary repair and improvement works in the dam, the work of lift irrigation schemes should be completed within the time limit and it should be ensured that real benefits are given to the farmers, so that irrigation water can reach the high altitude areas also. He said that the government is working with full commitment for the interests of farmers, proper management of water resources and balanced development of the region. All concerned departments should work in mutual coordination and ensure effective implementation of all decisions within the stipulated time frame.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources Abhay Kumar and Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Akhil Arora were present in the meeting.
