Public hearing held on Rajasthan Uniform Civil Code, suggestions taken from various sections

Tonk. With the aim of receiving suggestions from the general public and various sections regarding the Rajasthan Uniform Civil Code, 2026, a public hearing at Ajmer division level was organized in the video conferencing room of District Collectorate, Ajmer on Monday under the chairmanship of Shri Basant Kumar Chhaba, member of Rajasthan Uniform Civil Code and Additional Advocate General of Rajasthan High Court. During this period, Ajmer Divisional Commissioner Shakti Singh Rathore was also present. In the public hearing, all the districts of Ajmer division were connected through video conferencing.

‘Suggestions taken from various sections’

During the public hearing, MPs, MLAs of the division, representatives of all religions, advocates, academicians, social organizations and representatives of various political parties had a detailed discussion on the subject of Uniform Civil Code and their suggestions were invited. Various officials including District Collector Tina Dabi were present in the video conferencing organized at Tonk District Collectorate. During this, participants from different fields presented their suggestions on various aspects of the Uniform Civil Code. Academicians, representatives of social organizations and representatives of various recognized political parties also participated.
‘Representations will be handled systematically’
The concerned Divisional Commissioner has been appointed as the nodal officer for this work by the State Government. Also, instructions have been given that systematic maintenance of all the representations, applications and other documents received during the public hearing should be ensured, tehsil wise and district wise, so that the suggestions received can be effectively examined and compiled.

DLC rate determination meeting to be held on July 8
Tonk, July 6. As per the instructions of the Inspector General, Registration and Stamp Department, Rajasthan Ajmer, a meeting of the District Level Rate Determination Committee (DLC meeting) has been called to determine the DLC rates of agricultural, residential and commercial lands of Tonk district and to review the discrepancies. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 8 at 2 pm in Collectorate Auditorium, Tonk. Officials of the concerned department have been informed to attend the meeting at the appointed time.
