Rail travel is not just a means of commuting from one place to another, but also a powerful medium to experience the rich cultural diversity of the country.
He further said that Indian Railways is actively trying to unite the citizens of the country.
He said that Railways acts as a bridge, which helps in knowing and understanding the specific cuisine, attire, customs and cultural heritage of different states.
The Governor emphasized that the contribution of Indian Railways in nation building is invaluable.
He said that by emerging as the country’s largest network for public connectivity and social integration, it is further strengthening national unity.
Addressing the function, Union Minister Bittu said that Governor Kataria, coming from a huge state like Rajasthan, understands very well the importance of rail transport.
He said that Rajasthan is one of the largest states in the country and its railway network is extremely wide. The Governor is well aware of how railway connectivity brings positive changes in people’s lives and accelerates regional development. I express my heartfelt gratitude to him for his time and support for this important project.
