New Delhi, January 23 (). BJP leader Shazia Ilmi hit back at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ex-post and said that he only works to spread confusion.
Rahul Gandhi had said in his ex post that 50 percent American tariff and uncertainty is causing great loss to India’s textile exporters. Loss of jobs, closure of factories and reduction in orders is the reality of our ‘bad economy’.
BJP leader Shazia Ilmi spoke to in New Delhi on Friday on Rahul Gandhi’s post. He said that Rahul Gandhi neither reads nor understands. I think he might have never read a newspaper. At least they should do a simple search on their iPad to understand the reality of India. The GST 2.0 reforms implemented in September 2025 have corrected the duty structure in the textile sector, so that the sector can get the necessary relief and reforms. This has greatly benefited the investment problem. Textile industry was in bad condition during the time of Congress. There has been unprecedented growth in exports under our government. Despite this, Rahul Gandhi keeps telling lies. They always please their foreign masters by talking about ‘dead economy’. He constantly says wrong things about India and the Indian economy. They should know that India’s GDP has increased.
On Congress MP Shashi Tharoor not attending the Kerala election meeting, Shazia Ilmi said that Rahul Gandhi is suffering from a feeling of insecurity and that is why senior Congress leaders, whether old or new, are constantly trying to sideline him. What Shashi Tharoor did to India’s foreign policy and by standing with the Indian Army during ‘Operation Sindoor’ hurt Rahul Gandhi. This is a symbol of the fact that there is no organization in Congress. We can see this as his weakness. There is no leadership in Congress.
On the statement of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the BJP leader said that this is the height of shamelessness. Mamta Banerjee is comparing herself with Subhash Chandra Bose. Hearing this I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. On one side was Netaji, who as a revolutionary dedicated his entire life to the fight for India’s freedom and instilled a sense of patriotism among the youth. On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee makes fun of the Constitution. She denies SIR in rallies, quarrels with central agencies and never cares about the dignity of the country. He never respected constitutional institutions.
