Jaipur. The 21st Executive Committee meeting of Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council (Rajivika) was held at the Government Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary appreciated the work being done by Rajivika and described it as an important initiative towards rural livelihood empowerment. During the meeting, a detailed overview of the action plan for the financial year 2026-27 was taken, especially the action initiated by Rajivika in compliance with the budget announcements was reviewed. The Chief Secretary laid special emphasis on close monitoring of the financial model to ensure effective implementation of the schemes and expected results.
The Chief Secretary directed to organize regular meetings to establish better coordination on a large scale with various departments so that integrated and effective implementation of the schemes can be ensured.
Praising the remarkable achievements of Rajasthan Mahila Nidhi in the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that despite loan disbursement of more than Rs 850 crore, NPA remaining less than 2% is an excellent example of discipline, commitment and financial responsibility of women of Self Help Group (SHG) / Village Organization (VO) / Cluster Level Federation (CLF).
Underlining the importance of women led livelihoods, the Chief Secretary directed to develop wider market linkages and increase their visibility for the products manufactured by Self Help Groups. Under this, emphasis was laid on ensuring availability of products at outlets, malls, tourist places and other high traffic places.
The Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts of Rajivika for empowering 51 lakh women in Rajasthan and stressed the need for continued guidance of women already benefited under the “Lakhpati Didi” initiative. Besides, instructions were also given to increase the number of Lakhpati Didis and work towards the goal of “Millionaire Didi”.
Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Department Dinesh Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Government Animal Husbandry Department Development Sitaram ji Bhale, Government Secretary Rural Development Department Krishna Kunal and senior officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
