Jaipur, . Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is continuously making efforts to strengthen the agricultural economy of the state and increase agricultural productivity. Our effort is that the farmers of the state should become leaders in the field of agricultural exports by doing smart farming through modern technologies. With this thinking, Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 (Gram) is being organized for the farmers in the state in the coming year. Sharma instructed the officials to complete all preparations for the successful organization of the village. Sharma was reviewing the preparations for the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 to be organized in the coming year at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. He said that the objective of this event is to establish new dimensions in the agriculture sector through innovation and modern technology as well as to encourage investment. He said that the farmers of the state will also benefit from the experience of farmers and experts coming from India and abroad through the event. In the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that for the successful implementation of the event, all the concerned departments including agriculture, horticulture, dairy, animal husbandry, fisheries, cooperation, irrigation should work in mutual coordination. For this, a departmental cluster should be created. Also, it should be reviewed at the secretary level. He said that in this event, farmers who have done excellent work in the agriculture sector should also be honoured. Also, the needs of the farmer should be given top priority in every activity of the event. He said that in this event, agricultural experts, scientists and technical experts who are using innovations like advanced agriculture, water management, crop diversification etc. in the country and abroad should be invited.
50 thousand farmers will participate in Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet
The Chief Minister said that the state level organization of this meet is proposed to be held for three days. In which more than 50 thousand farmers will participate. He said that through this event the agricultural capabilities of Rajasthan will get an international platform. Apart from encouraging research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector, agricultural processing and marketing will also get a boost. Sharma instructed the officials to give wide publicity regarding the event. So that farmers can get information about programs and schemes at the rural level.
Farmers and entrepreneurs from India and abroad will share their experiences
It was told in the meeting that in this Agritech meet, exhibitions related to agriculture and animal husbandry, B2G and B2B meetings, farmer-scientist dialogues, buyer-seller meetings and various technical sessions and workshops will be organized. Through these, farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs from India and abroad will share their experiences related to smart farming, marketing and processing with each other. In which along with advanced technologies of agriculture, topics like drone technology, new agricultural equipment, water management in agriculture and agricultural exports will be discussed.
In the meeting, the use of 500 metric ton capacity warehouses built under the World Large Grain Storage Scheme in the field of cooperation was also discussed. During this, senior officials of the concerned departments were present.
