Jaipur. Amidst the excitement of IPL (IPL 2026), a very luxurious and royal dinner was organized for the players of Rajasthan Royals at the historic City Palace of Pink City on Monday night. Team management members including team captain Ryan Parag, spinner Ravi Bishnoi, dashing fast bowler Joffra Archer and young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi attended this special event hosted by the former royal family. A large number of cricket fans and foreign tourists had gathered outside the City Palace to get a glimpse of the players. For the royal dinner, Rajasthan Royals players reached City Palace in two luxury buses. As soon as the buses stopped, the fans started calling the names of their favorite players. Meanwhile, when young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was moving towards the bus, he noticed a small girl standing in the crowd. Vaibhav, showing greatness, himself came forward and shook hands with the girl, seeing which the fans present there cheered loudly.
Sawai Padmanabh Singh and Princess Gauravi Kumari, who recently returned from a foreign tour, gave a grand welcome to the Rajasthan Royals team in traditional Rajasthani style. On this glorious occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Diya Kumari was also specially present at the City Palace.
The Palace’s famous ‘Sarvato’ restaurant served a multicuisine (International) dinner exclusively for the players along with traditional Rajasthani dishes. The players thoroughly enjoyed Rajasthan’s famous Dal-Baati-Churma, Gatte ki Sabzi and traditional sweets.
Kalbelia dance fascinated me, Ravindra Jadeja could not come due to UP tour
During the royal hospitality, folk artists gave beautiful presentations of Rajasthani culture and folk traditions. Especially Chang and Kalbelia dance won the hearts of foreign players. After dinner, the players also took a closer look at the historical parts and architecture of the Palace.
However, the team’s veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja could not attend this royal dinner. He had left for Uttar Pradesh (UP) on Monday morning by flight for some personal work. However, they returned back to Jaipur late at night. This Royal Dinner held at the City Palace became another fine example of the rich cultural heritage of Jaipur and the world famous tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’.
