Shirdi, 20 September (). The Mahanirvana Day of Sri Saibaba has unique importance. For millions of saints spread in the country and abroad, this day is considered to be a holy opportunity to give the message of reverence, service and goodwill, not only a memorial day. This is why Delhi’s Saibhakta J.K. P. Sisodia has been trying continuously for the last nine years to officially enter the official calendar of the Government of India.
Sisodia says that the birth anniversary and death anniversary of all the great men, saints and national leaders of the country are mentioned in the government calendar, then why should not the Mahanirvana Day of Shri Saibaba be mentioned in the symbol of the faith of crores of people?
Talking to in Shirdi, Sisodia said that Saibaba has given a message of humanity and unity by rising above caste, religion and sect. His teachings still provide a new direction to millions of people to live life. Therefore, it is the collective desire of crores of melodious devotees to enter their Mahanirvana Day in the government calendar of the country.
He further informed that he has submitted a memorandum to the central government several times on this demand. Along with this, the Prime Minister’s Office has also been continuously corresponded to the Ministry of Culture and the Government of Maharashtra.
Sisodia is confident that soon the government will take a positive decision on this emotional demand and will provide official recognition in the official calendar of Sri Saibaba.
Let us know that the Mahanirvan Day of Sri Saibaba is celebrated on 15 October, which was the day of Vijayadashami (Dussehra). Baba gave up his life on this day and as a celebration of his Mahasamadhi, this day is a big festival for Sai devotees. Sai Baba himself said that the day of Dussehra is the best day for his departure from the earth.
