Sardar@150 Unity March: Jodhpur participated, took oath of national unity and integrity

Jodhpur. On the occasion of “National Unity Day” organized on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a grand division level “Ekta Run” program was organized in Jodhpur. The program started with the flagging off of the rally by District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal. On this occasion, the city was filled with feelings of patriotism, discipline and integrity. Before the rally, all the attendees took the “National Unity Pledge” and reiterated their dedication towards the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
Rally started from Collectorate – slogans of Sardar Patel echoed
The “Ekta Run” rally started from the Collectorate complex, passing through Ghoomar Hotel Road, Mohanpura Pulia, Khasbagh Square, Police Line, Power House Circle, Sardar Patel Circle, Circuit House, Raika Bagh Pulia and Pavata Square and again concluded at the Collectorate complex.
On the rally route, citizens welcomed the participants with flowers and applause. The entire atmosphere echoed with patriotism and enthusiasm with the deafening slogans of “Long Live Sardar Patel” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
There was participation from every class
School students, NCC-NSS cadets, scout-guide teams, officers and employees of various departments, representatives of Women and Child Development Department, voluntary organizations and Municipal Corporation personnel participated enthusiastically in the rally.
The participants ran with the national flag and pictures of Sardar Patel. The disciplined performance of the police band and half guard squad added dignity, patriotism and charm to the programme.
On this occasion, officers of various departments including Tribhuvan Singh Bhati, Shivram Gwala, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Siddharth Palanichami, District Council Chief Executive Officer Ashish Kumar Mishra, District Logistics Officer Anjum Tahir Samma, Additional Chief Executive Officer Ganpat Lal Suthar were present.
“National Unity Day is not just a celebration, it is our duty” – District Collector
At the closing ceremony of the program, District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal said – The life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is a symbol of the unity and integrity of the nation. We should actively contribute to nation building by implementing their ideals in our actions. ‘National Unity Day’ is not just a formal event, but it is a living expression of our duty, dedication and patriotism.
