Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the second phase of ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ is starting in Uttar Pradesh from July 1. Appealing to the students and parents, he said that ‘Go to School Campaign’ should be made a mass movement. The future of Uttar Pradesh will be bright only when every child is immersed in education. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in his message to the people of the state on Monday, “July is not only the beginning of the new month, but it is also the time for a new resolution to bring the dreams of millions of children to school. The second phase of ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ is starting in Uttar Pradesh from July 01. The objective of this campaign, which will run till July 15, is to ensure 100 percent enrollment from class I to class 12, to reconnect dropout children to school and to instill pride in entering the new academic session. Have to speed up.” He said, “Whenever the most precious asset of life is discussed, only the name of education comes to mind. Only the wings of knowledge take the children to the heights of the sky. School is the sacred place from where the knowledge, values and life-religion of the students along with character and personality building begins. This is also the Sanatan tradition. In ancient Gurukuls, students stay in the company of Guru and learn Vedas, Upanishads, Shastras, Science, Crafts, Dhanurveda was formed in the mold of agriculture, ethics and life values. Today’s schools are the modern form of the same Gurukul tradition, where along with bookish and practical knowledge, the spirit of discipline and nation building is developed.
The Chief Minister said that when a child crosses the threshold of school for the first time, the entire family, village and society moves forward with him. School is the most powerful foundation for the education and future of every daughter and son and the progress of every family. Our government had started ‘Project Alankar’ with this intention, under which the secondary schools of the state are being modernized and along with upgrading the infrastructure, quality educational environment has been ensured.
CM Yogi said that the light of education should illuminate the entire state, hence our government is running campaigns like ‘Operation Kayakalp’, ‘Mission Prerna’, ‘Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Yojana’ and ‘Mission Nipun’, so that the quality of education increases at every level. A healthy mind requires a healthy body. Therefore, arrangements have been made for a variety of hot and tasty food in schools.
Yogi Adityanath appealed to the teachers and said, “Dear teachers, I want to say a few things to you also. You should ensure that children do not consider school as just a part of their daily routine, but show interest in going to school. Activities like sports etc. can be a better medium for this.”
Meanwhile, CM Yogi requested the parents to evaluate their children not by their marks but by their courage and dedication. You will have to ensure their regular attendance in schools. Children of 3 to 6 years of age can be sent to ‘Bal Vatika’.”
At the end of his message, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state not to let ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ remain just a government program. Make it a mass movement. If there is any child around us who has not yet been able to reach school, it is our duty to take him to school. He said that the future of Uttar Pradesh will be bright only when every child is immersed in education.
