Niwai. Under the auspices of the Congress Committee, workers planted saplings in Shivaji Park and tied bows on trees for the voiceless birds. City President Advocate Satish Sharma said that regarding environmental protection, many activists including former city president Mahavir Prasad Parana, Paras Pahadi, Pawan Sawaliya, Sitaram Katara, environment lover Vimal Jaunla, Pappu Meena, Sachin Jain, Vikram Singh Gurjar, Babulal Machalpuria, Arif Qureshi, Paras Saini and Mahendra Gomal have planted saplings in the cremation ground, court complex, Harmons Garden and Gandhi Park including Shivaji Park. For the birds, they tied birdhouses on the trees and took a pledge to fill the birds with food and water regularly. Former city president Mahavir Prasad Parana said that on World Environment Day, it is an act of virtue to arrange birds for silent birds on the Seva Path for kindness to animals. City President Satish Sharma said that the aim is to provide easy water to the birds in the scorching heat and to increase awareness about the environment in the country.
