Dehradun, 21 September (). Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off ‘Namo Yuva Run’ organized under the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ program in Dehradun. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also attended the race with the participants and encouraged the youth.
Chief Minister Dhami said that ‘Namo Yuva Run’ is not just a sports event, but it is a symbol of energy, health, discipline and a sense of patriotism among the youth. He said that this type of event provides new pace and comprehensive public participation to the Prime Minister’s ‘Fit India Movement’.
The Chief Minister asked the youth present to ensure their participation in nation building by adopting a healthy and active lifestyle.
He also said that with the inspiration of the Prime Minister, the spirit of service, dedication and public welfare is getting new pace across the country and through ‘Seva Pakhwada’ every section of the society is getting an opportunity to contribute positively. The Chief Minister said that with such events, the energy of the youth is more meaningful in the national interest.
Many BJP leaders including Rajya Sabha MPs Mahendra Bhatt and Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Ministers Ganesh Joshi and Khajan Das were present on the occasion.
BJP’s state general minister Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj said in a conversation with news agency that the program has been organized under ‘Seva Pakhwade’. It aims to motivate the youth to drug addiction and use indigenous products. He said that marathon is being organized across the country.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the Flag Off and logo from the Chief Minister’s residence of the Proposed Adi Kailash Parikrama Run (Ultra Marathon) promo Run on 2 November.
Adi Kailash Marathon will be organized from Gunji village on 2 November to mark 25 years of state establishment. The event is being organized with the aim of promoting the adventure and winter tourism of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, encouraging youth for a healthy life and fulfilling the resolve of drug -free Uttarakhand. This ultra marathon will be at a height of 10,300 to 15,000 feet.
