Amravati. Seven members of two families (including five minors) died in two separate incidents in Andhra Pradesh. Domestic problems are being said to be the reason for these incidents. Police shared this information on Friday. A man took the lives of his three children before hanging himself, while a woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a train along with her two children. These incidents took place in Prakasam and Srikakulam districts. A man committed suicide after killing his three minor daughters at Agraharam village in Chimakurthi mandal of Prakasam district.
Ekula Sudhakar, 35, killed his children by poisoning them before hanging himself.
Troubled by his wife not returning from her maternal home, Sudhakar killed his daughters Gochita (13), Pujita (11) and Lokita (8) by poisoning their food.
After the death of the three girls, he went to a field on the outskirts of the village and hanged himself.
Police sent the bodies for post-mortem. A police officer said they have registered a case and started investigation.
In the second incident in Srikakulam district, a woman along with her two children committed suicide by coming in front of a moving train.
The bodies of Pooja (28), her son Kushant (5) and daughter Dikshita (3) were found on the railway track between Palasa and Talabadra. Local people informed the railway police.
The police took the bodies into custody and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem and started investigation.
It is believed that the woman took this step due to domestic problems. Initial police investigation revealed that Pooja had differences with her husband.
Pooja, a resident of Bhavanapadu in Srikakulam, married Venkatiah of Chalamayyapeta in the same district eight years ago.
The family was living in Vijayawada and had come to Chalamayapeta for summer holidays.
Pooja had left home with her children on Thursday morning. It is said that he spent Thursday night at Palasa Railway Station. Later, she went to the railway track with the children, sat there holding them tightly as the speeding train passed over them.
Pooja’s mother alleged that she committed suicide along with her children due to harassment by her in-laws.
