Shagufta Ali Cancer: Bollywood actress Shagufta Ali is a familiar face in everyone’s mind. Shagufta Ali has recently shaken everyone by talking about the most difficult phase of her life. Shagufta Ali has told how along with fighting a serious disease like stage 3 breast cancer, she also got her sick father treated, due to which all her savings were exhausted, but even then she did not give up.
Shagufta told that she had become dependent on every penny and then she fulfilled all her responsibilities without anyone’s help. Along with this, Shagufta revealed whether she had kept the matter of breast cancer hidden till now.
In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Shagufta Ali told that when she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, why did she keep it hidden from everyone? When Shagufta was asked why she did not tell anyone about her illness, she said, ‘In those times, the only thing that was said about this thing was no, no, don’t tell at all. Be absolutely silent, don’t talk. Otherwise you will stop getting work. Threatened that work would not be available. People in the industry start behaving like this, so I didn’t tell anything to anyone.
Talking about the difficult days that followed, she said that to survive, she had to sell her jewelery and even her car, although she did not let her house be sold. Even today, she does not hesitate to travel by auto-rickshaw to go to her work or hospital.
On her savings, Shagufta said, ‘After 2017, when my problems increased, people started asking me – didn’t you have any savings? Oh, of course it was. I had considerable savings and for so many years I managed my household with it. But I am not an Ambani, Tata or Adani that my money never runs out.
He further said, ‘How much savings can a TV actor have? I was the only earning person in my house. With the same savings he endured illnesses, met his daily expenses, bought ration and took care of his family.
Shagufta Ali told that what troubled her the most was why people were raising questions about her savings. He said that he did not spend his money on night clubs, drinking, debauchery or parties. All his money was spent on huge hospital bills and he was irritated by the fact that people asked him for an account of his money.
