Pahalgam. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Nunwan and Chandanwadi to take stock of the arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra. During this he interacted with the devotees. At the same time, the fourth batch of devotees was sent from Nunwan Base Camp of Pahalgam. A woman devotee leaving for Amarnath Yatra from Pahalgam said, “I have come for the second time and am very excited. Baba’s blessings are on all of us. Our Army is doing very good work. There is no doubt about it. The Army is cooperating at every level. I just want that people should also fully cooperate with the Army, because it is very important.” Another female devotee leaving from Pahalgam said, “I have come from Delhi. I had registered offline there. I did not face any problem there. Here too, I got RFID easily at the airport.”
Meanwhile, the fifth batch of pilgrims for Shri Amarnath Yatra from Jammu left for Srinagar. Speaking to , a devotee said that the service system here is very good and the blessings of both the Mahants are on all the devotees. He said that looking at the way the arrangements are being operated, the number of sadhus is continuously increasing.
The devotee further said that the way the administration and the government are working, the devotees have got a better environment for the yatra. He said that the peaceful environment here after the removal of Article 370 shows that the government and security forces are working with full commitment for the safety and convenience of the devotees during the yatra.
Speaking to , another devotee said, “I pray that by the grace of God, these arrangements should continue without any interruption. I request the administration that with the blessings of the Lord, such arrangements should continue in future also. There has been a huge change.”
On the other hand, Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar in Samba inspected the facilities available at Chichi Mata Lodgment Center for Amarnath pilgrims. He instructed the officials to ensure proper arrangements for accommodation, food and drinking water for the devotees. During this, Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan was also present.
