As per the orders of the state government, various programs were organized by Bayana Municipality on Tuesday on the theme “Vande Mataram 150” to commemorate the completion of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. On this occasion, municipal employees cleaned the statues of great men and garlanded them and took the oath of cleanliness. During the program, collective singing of national song Vande Mataram and national anthem was done.
Cleaning Inspector Pawan Kumar said that the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at Gandhi Chowk and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Subhash Chowk were cleaned. Besides, cleanliness campaigns were also conducted in various parks of the city. He said that the municipality is continuously making efforts to make Bayana city clean and beautiful by running special campaigns. Even at night, different teams of sanitation workers are cleaning the roads and markets of the town, so that the general public can get a clean environment. Waste is being disposed of from the market area early in the morning. The residents of the city are expressing satisfaction and happiness with this initiative.
