New Delhi, May 31 (). Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has invited applications from eligible male and female candidates to fill a total of 404 posts of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota in various departments. Candidates can apply for these posts till June 7.
The departments in which SSB has released vacancies for 404 posts of constable for male and female candidates include 14 in Archery, 42 in Athletics, 14 in Aquatic Sports (Swimming, Diving), 18 in Boxing, 21 in Basketball, 6 in Badminton, 4 in Cycling, 5 in Horse Riding, 5 in Fencing. 10, 22 of football, 4 of gymnastics, 28 of hockey, 16 of handball, 12 of judo, 12 of kabaddi, 14 of karate, 13 of kayaking, 14 of canoeing, 16 of penchak silat, 4 of powerlifting, 13 of rowing, 4 of shooting, 6 of table tennis, 16 of taekwondo, There are 14 posts of Volleyball, 27 of Wrestling, 16 of Wushu, 13 of Weightlifting, and 6 of Yoga.
The application process for these posts is going on through online medium and the last date to apply has been fixed as June 7. In such a situation, the candidates who want to fill the application form are advised to visit the official website and submit their registration form within the stipulated time limit.
Candidates applying must have Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institute. Along with this, those players who have represented any state of the country in national or international competitions; OR Medal winner in Senior/Junior National Championships; OR Medal winner in Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 years age group) or Khelo India Winter Games or Khelo India Para Games; Or medal winners in Khelo India University Games; OR Medal winner in School Games Federation of India (SGFI); or Players who have represented their university in inter-university tournaments organized by inter-university sports boards; Or players who have represented state school teams in national school sports competitions organized by All India School Sports Associations can apply.
The minimum age of the candidates has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 23 years, which will be calculated on the basis of the last date of application. At the same time, candidates coming from reserved category will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per rules.
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Phase-I and Phase-II which will include levels of Document Verification, Verification of Sports Achievements (Marks based on Medals/Participation), Field Trial/Skill Test, Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), Review Medical Examination (RME) if required, Final Merit List, etc. Whereas, the salary of selected candidates will be Rs 21,700 to 69,100 per month. Along with this, other benefits and allowances will also be given to the candidates.
While filling the application form, candidates will have to pay the prescribed application fee as per their category through online mode, which has been fixed at Rs 100 for UR/EWS/OBC. At the same time, Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and women candidates have been given exemption in registration fees.
To apply online, candidates first visit the official website of SSB. After going to the homepage, click on the active application link given for the concerned post. After this, register and login. Then enter all the information asked in the form. Upload all the required documents in the correct size. After this, pay the registration fee and submit the form. At last, take a print out of a copy of the application form and keep it safely for future reference.
