'Success comes with silence', Geetha Kailasam shares shooting experience of 'Angammaal'

Chennai, December 2 (). In Tamil cinema, stories of small villages are often presented in a very emotional manner and this time the film ‘Angammaal’ is bringing such a sensitive story in front of the audience. This film is not just a story of a family feud or social controversy, but it closely shows the dignity, tradition and self-respect of women.

The film is directed and screenplay by Vipin Radhakrishnan. The story is set in the backdrop of a small village in Tamil Nadu. The film shows how a mother’s traditional attire, worn without a blouse, becomes a cause of controversy in her family. This small situation gradually leads to bigger emotional issues and makes the audience realize that women’s lives are full of self-respect and strength despite being influenced by tradition.

The film stars actress Geetha Kailasam in the lead role, playing the character of Angammal.

Regarding her role, Geeta said that she played this character with complete honesty. He lost himself in Angammal’s silence, pride and emotions. The film was shot in rural areas. By living with the people there, his life experiences were reflected in his acting. This experience made his performance brilliant in every frame.

Geetha Kailasam also praised director Vipin Radhakrishnan a lot. She said, “The director gave me the opportunity to live the character openly, which allowed me to bring naturalness and spontaneity to my acting. He paid special attention to the sync-sound technology in the film. Every breath and every movement was recorded in real time. While the camera and sound team worked like invisible artists and brought the real life of the village on screen. This experience made me realize that success comes with strength in silence.”

He said, “This film is not just a family story, but a story of women’s independence, self-respect and balance between traditions. The audience can expect the film to be thought provoking as well as emotionally impactful. The film experience will make the audience understand that sometimes real strength stands silently, and making one feel the truth of life is the greatest art.”

‘Angammaal’ is going to be released in theaters on December 5.
