After the spectacular victory of the Indian women’s cricket team, Tata Motors has given them a special gift. The company has gifted a new Tata Sierra SUV to every player. This SUV was launched just a few weeks ago and has now slowly started arriving at dealerships. This move by Tata Motors is being seen as a way to honor women players and celebrate their achievements. The keys will be handed over in January 2026
Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Motors, recently said in an interview that the women’s cricket team will be honored in December. After this, all players will officially get the keys to their Tata Sierra SUV in January. Tata Sierra has a historical name in the Indian car market. It is considered to be India’s first made-in-India SUV. The return of this name was awaited for many years. The new Tata Sierra has recently been officially launched, and bookings have started. Customers can book it from their nearest dealership or from the company’s website.
The new Sierra has a completely new design
The new Tata Sierra is completely different from the old model. Apart from the name, it has nothing in common with the old Sierra. This SUV is built on the new ARGOS platform. It has a boxy design with sleek LED headlamps that appear to be a part of the front grille. LED DRLs and welcome light bar at the front give it a powerful and premium look. Gloss black cladding has been given on the lower part of the vehicle.
A special window reminiscent of the old Sierra
In the side profile of the new Sierra, the rear windows and roof are kept in black. The design is deliberately reminiscent of the signature alpine window of the old Tata Sierra. Additionally, it is the first ICE SUV in its segment to feature a triple-screen setup on the dashboard.
Segment-leading features
Tata Sierra has the largest panoramic sunroof in its segment. Its cabin features a new design, including a floating-type center console and door armrests. This SUV is equipped with many advanced features like seat ventilation, level-2 ADAS, head-up display, digital instrument cluster and six airbags.
Petrol and diesel engine options
The new Tata Sierra comes with three engine options. It has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which gives power of 108 PS and torque of 145 Nm. This engine is available with both manual and DCA gearbox. It also has a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 160 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque and comes only with a 6-speed automatic transmission. For diesel lovers, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine has been provided, which generates 116 BHP power and 280 Nm torque.
