Voting has ended for 29 municipal corporations of Maharashtra. Everyone’s eyes are on the most important Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. BJP and Eknath Shinde’s faction contested the elections together, while Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray formed an alliance. The results of BMC elections will be declared on January 16. However, some surprising results have emerged from the exit poll data. There are total 227 wards in BMC. These are the first municipal corporation elections after the split between Shiv Sena and NCP.
DV Research Exit Poll
According to DV Research exit poll, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is expected to get 107 to 122 seats. The alliance of Thackeray brothers is expected to get 68 to 83 seats. Congress and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi may get 18 to 25 seats. NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) is expected to get 2 to 4 seats, while others are expected to get 8 to 15 seats.
DV Research Vote Share
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is expected to get 41 percent votes. The alliance of Thackeray brothers is expected to get 33 percent votes, Congress and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi 13 percent, NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) 3 percent and others 10 percent.
Axis My India Exit Poll
According to Axis My India exit poll, the BJP alliance is expected to get 44 percent women votes and 40 percent male votes. Thackeray alliance is expected to get 31 percent women votes and 33 percent male votes. Congress and its allies are expected to get 13 percent women votes and 13 percent male votes. Others are expected to get 12 percent female votes and 14 percent male votes. According to Axis My India exit poll, BJP+ will get 131 to 151 seats. Shiv Sena UBT+ is expected to get 58-68 seats. Congress+ is expected to get 12-16 seats. Others are expected to get 6-12 seats.
JVC Exit Poll Vote Share
According to JVC exit poll, the Mahayuti alliance is expected to get 42-45% vote share. The alliance of Thackeray brothers and Sharad Pawar is expected to get 34-37% votes. The Congress-VBA alliance is projected to get 13-15% votes and others 6-8%.

BJP alliance is projected to win 138 seats, Uddhav Thackeray’s alliance is projected to win 59 seats, Congress alliance is projected to win 23 seats and others are projected to win 7 seats.
How many seats is each party contesting in Mumbai?
According to the final seat distribution in Mumbai, BJP is contesting on 137 seats and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is contesting on 90 seats. NCP is contesting separately on 94 seats. Shiv Sena (UBT) has fielded 163 candidates, MNS 52, Congress 143 and VBA 46.
