After opening the box, Rashi looked at the thekua carefully and praised its workmanship, adding that one could judge its deliciousness just by looking at it. Then he tasted this dish and gave his feedback praising it very much.
Rashi told that Prime Minister Modi had brought these traditional cookies from Bihar during his visit to Slovakia. He said the dessert has deep cultural significance and reminds him of the traditional sweets of Slovakia. Thekua is actually a traditional dish of Bihar.
It is especially associated with religious festivals like Chhath Puja. Made from wheat flour, jaggery (or sugar) and ghee, this fried sweet is famous for its unique taste, crunch and decorative patterns. Rashi observed that there were many similarities in the traditional food habits of the two countries.
