Governor Bagde was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 26th annual convention of the All India Ex-Servicemen Council at the Army Area Auditorium on Saturday. He described the welfare, respect and role of ex-servicemen and their families as important in nation building. He said that everyone should work together for the families of the soldiers also. The Governor also stressed on maximum publicity of the schemes being run by the Central and State Government to empower the ex-servicemen. He also appreciated the active role played by All India Ex-Servicemen in the areas of social service, patriotism, national integration and motivating the youth for national service.
Ex-servicemen, defense experts and representatives of different sections of the society from across the country participated in the function. Major General Anuj Mathur gave information about the work of the Council. During this time he also inaugurated the souvenir of the council.
