An IndiGo international flight from Dubai to Mumbai had to make an emergency landing due to a technical glitch. While taking off, the pilot noticed smoke coming from a portion of the aircraft. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the pilot acted immediately and intelligently and contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the nearby Rajkot International Airport.

According to reports, IndiGo flight 6E1452 (A321 aircraft) was going from Dubai to Mumbai. During the journey, at around 2:45 pm, smoke was seen in the cargo hold area of ​​the aircraft. Sensing the potential danger, ‘full emergency’ was declared at Rajkot airport at 2:45 pm. An alert was immediately issued and police, fire brigade units and ambulances were kept on standby near the runway.

Due to the pilot’s presence of mind and quick decisions, the aircraft landed safely at Rajkot International Airport at 3:27 pm. A total of 194 people including the crew were on board the plane. As soon as news of the emergency landing was received, Rajkot police, fire brigade and ambulance teams were immediately put on standby near the runway. All passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft immediately after landing. Confirming the incident, Rajkot Police Commissioner said that there is no need to worry or panic now; All the passengers are completely safe and have been evacuated from the plane.
