Jaipur. State Chief Secretary V. Srinivas took stock of the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Monday. He inspected all the stands of the stadium and took information about the necessary renovation work in the stadium from Additional Chief Secretary PWD Praveen Gupta and Government Secretary, Youth Affairs and Sports Department and President, Rajasthan State Sports Council, Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan. During this, Rajasthan Royals Vice President Rajeev Khanna was also present.
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan said that before the organization of IPL matches, civil, water and electric work, installation of new lifts, upgradation of washrooms of North and other stands along with VIP South stands, removal of barbed wires and installation of new nets and all necessary works will be completed for the convenience and safety of the spectators. He told that many major changes will be made to make the stadium as per IPL standards. From security point of view, maximum attention is being given to the strength and fire safety of the stadium. The work of preparing Sawai Man Singh Stadium as per IPL standards has been entrusted to the Public Works Department (PWD).
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan told that preparations for IPL matches have started in Jaipur. A lot of corrective steps will be taken in the stadium. The PWD team will complete all the upgradation works in the stadium on time and prepare the stadium for organizing matches. The convenience and safety of the spectators will be given priority. He said that we want the spectators to enjoy the matches in a comfortable and convenient environment.
