Jodhpur/Jaisalmer. Ranikhet Express (15014) running on the railway tracks proved to be a safe home for an innocent girl on Monday night, when the alert eyes of TTE Manoj Singh Solanki, on duty in the train, rescued an abandoned girl from trouble. Solanki proved to be no less than a messiah for the 7-year-old girl sitting alone in the general coach near Pokaran railway station.
The innocent girl was alone amidst the crowd, alertness saved her
While checking tickets between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, TTE Solanki saw that a small girl was sitting scared and alone in the general coach. He immediately interrogated the girl, showing human sensitivity, but no guardian or responsible person was present nearby. Seeing the girl in this condition in the dark of night, Solanki took charge without wasting time.
TTE in action: Child helpline alerted
Realizing the seriousness of the matter, TTE Manoj Singh Solanki immediately contacted child helpline 1098. He not only made the girl feel safe but also brought her safely to Jaisalmer railway station. As soon as they reached Jaisalmer, the railway administration and the Child Helpline team were informed.
Safe rehabilitation process begins
At Jaisalmer station, TTE duly handed over the girl to the Child Helpline team. At present the girl is in safe hands and the police and administration have started searching for her family.
