Lakhimpur. After the dispute and clash between two groups of the same society regarding the installation of the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti in Lakhimpur Kheri, the district administration has completely controlled the situation. DM-SP is standing at the spot with heavy police force. There is peace and normalcy in the area and law and order is completely under control. The situation is being constantly monitored. Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Amit Kumar Rai said that Bhim Army workers were installing the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar at one place, which was opposed by the other side of the same society. During this time there was snatching and clash between the two parties. Meanwhile, some people, confused by the rumours, pelted stones at the police personnel.
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal, Superintendent of Police Dr. Khyati Garg, ADM Narendra Bahadur Singh, ASP Pawan Gautam reached the spot with heavy police force and took control of the situation. Security arrangements have been tightened in the area in the presence of administrative officials.
Additional Superintendent of Police (West) further said that some people were trying to spoil the atmosphere and spread anarchy by spreading rumors regarding this incident that took place between people of the same community, and were given a strict warning. Police is present at the spot and there is peace in the area. The situation is completely under control and adequate police force is deployed to deal with any untoward incident.
