Urban bodies should adopt a holistic approach, daily inspection and feedback is necessary: ​​Ravi Jain

Udaipur. An introductory workshop of Udaipur division on Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 tool kit was organized on Friday in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium of Municipal Corporation Udaipur. The workshop included Ravi Jain, Secretary, Autonomous Government Department; Juikar Pratik Chandra Shekhar, Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban); Abhishek Khanna, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Udaipur; Officers and employees of all the urban bodies of Udaipur division including Deputy Director (regional) Udaipur division were present. Addressing the workshop, Secretary, Autonomous Government Department, Ravi Jain directed all the urban bodies to adopt a holistic approach on all the indicators of Swachh Survekshan. He said that the concerned officers should visit their respective municipal bodies daily to inspect the cleanliness activities and ensure to take feedback from the general public. He stressed on making regular monitoring of cleanliness related activities a part of daily functioning, self-assessment and citizen participation and working in effective coordination with various departments. Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) Juikar Prateek Chandra Shekhar highlighted the importance of the 10th edition of Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 and underlined the need to move cities towards garbage-free, ODF-Plus, ODF-Water Plus and sustainable cleanliness. He said that this year, under the detailed standards of 12,500 marks, special emphasis has been given on visual cleanliness, door-to-door garbage collection, separation and processing of wet and dry waste, dump site remediation, management of used water and welfare of Safai Mitras.
