There is going to be a big change in UPI transactions. From June 1, the real bank registered name of anyone to whom you transfer money through UPI will be visible on the screen. This step has been taken by the National Payment Corporation (NPCI), the government agency that operates UPI, to reduce fraud.
June 15 will be an important date for taxpayers because this is the last date to deposit the first installment of advance tax for the financial year 2026-27. People whose estimated tax liability is more than Rs 10,000 will have to deposit 15 percent of the total advance tax, otherwise interest may have to be paid.
From June 1, car companies like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India have announced increase in prices. Maruti Suzuki is increasing the prices of all its models by Rs 30,000 from June. The increase will vary depending on the model and variant. The company has cited rising input costs and inflation as the reason. At the same time, Hyundai Motor India has also announced to increase the prices of its entire portfolio by Rs 12,800. The company has cited increase in raw material, commodity and operational costs as the reason for this.
Apart from this, the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG are reviewed by the government on 1st of every month. In such a situation, there may be a change in fuel prices on June 1st. –
