Vicious pickpocket who cut pockets during procession in Bhilwara arrested, action taken by Bhimganj police

Bhilwara. Bhimganj police station has arrested a vicious pickpocket while disclosing the incident of pickpocketing that took place during the procession of the head of Shri Ramsnehi Sampradaya Shahpura Peeth, Jagadguru Swami Shri 1008 Shri Ramdayal Ji Maharaj on July 19, 2026. A special team was formed under the supervision of District Superintendent of Police Sagar Rana (IPS), Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Arya and Deputy Superintendent of Police City Sajjan Singh and under the leadership of Bhimganj Police Station Officer Sunil Chaudhary. According to the police, on July 20, Manikya Nagar resident Prachir Samdani lodged a report that during the welcome program organized outside his office on July 19, an unknown person took out Rs 9,000 from his kurta pocket. During this period, the pockets of a total of four people including their relatives were picked up. A total of Rs 48 thousand was stolen from the victims. The victims include Prachir Samdani (9 thousand), Prahladrai Samdani (12 thousand), Manish Samdani (20 thousand) and Manish Kogta (7 thousand rupees). A case was registered and investigation was started.
During the investigation, the police team collected information from informers and analyzed CCTV footage and technical evidence of the procession. On the basis of this, Ram Singh (43), son of Gulab Singh Rajput, resident of Kanechan Kala, police station Phuliakalan, district Bhilwara was arrested. Police is also interrogating the accused and gathering information regarding other incidents. Many cases have been registered against the accused in the past also.
Sub Inspector Raju Giri, Head Constable Umrao and Constables Rajesh, Saurabh, Bhagchand and Puran had special contribution in this action.
