Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has announced the prestigious Village Development Officer (VDO) recruitment examination. This year, 6,396 candidates will appear in the exam, so from the administration and police department to the education department, all preparations are going on war footing in the district. On Tuesday, Selection Board Chairman Alok Raj held an important review meeting with the district administration. ADM Naresh Banker, District Treasury Officer Vishal Aggarwal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, all center superintendents, deputy coordinators, supervisors and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.

Sharing his experiences in the meeting, Alok Raj said that the examination is not just a process but also a test of people’s trust in the system. He issued strict guidelines to the authorities, with special emphasis on identification of dummy candidates, security arrangements, scrutiny system, confidentiality and transparency in the conduct of the examination. He stressed the need to conduct the examination in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner. He stressed the need for coordination and timely interaction between all departments. 6,396 candidates, 20 examination centers will be connected to the network of the entire district.
The exam in the district will be held on November 2 (Saturday) from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A total of 20 examination centers have been set up – which include nine government and 11 private institutions. 3,920 candidates from Rajsamand district and 2,476 candidates from Pali district will appear for the exam. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam after 10:00 am. Candidates have been appealed to reach the examination center two hours before the commencement of the exam i.e. by 9:00 am, so that they do not face any problem.
Tight security and strict guidelines; Negligence can be costly.
Additional District Collector Naresh Bankar said that all the candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility and qualification conditions set by the board. He warned that no laxity in discipline will be tolerated at the exam center or while travelling. Candidates traveling on the roof or footboard of a train or bus may face criminal charges, which may also include cancellation of the exam. He appealed to the candidates to reach on time, remain calm and cooperate.
Zero tolerance policy for cheating, fine up to ₹10 crore and lifetime ban
This time Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has left no stone unturned in ensuring exam security. State-of-the-art technology and stringent security measures have been implemented to prevent cheating. Officials reiterated that candidates should not fall prey to any cheating racket or fake coaching agents. He also advised them to beware of rumors being spread on social media. If any candidate is caught using unfair practices, strict action will be taken against him under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Practices in Recruitment) Act, 2022 and Amendment Act, 2023 (No. 17). Those found guilty under this Act can face a fine of ₹10 lakh to ₹10 crore and a punishment ranging from 10 years to life imprisonment. Not only this, such candidates will also be debarred from all future examinations.
Exam Administration’s appeal: Your discipline is the first step to your success.
The officials unanimously said that to make this examination fair and successful, joint contribution of both the administration and the candidates is necessary. If every candidate cooperates by maintaining honesty, discipline and transparency during the examination, then this examination will set an example as a model examination. ADM Bankar said smilingly that true hard work cannot be stopped by any metal detector, rather it becomes the key to success.
Things to keep in mind on exam day
Reach the center by 9 am.
Entry will remain closed after 10 am.
Keep the admit card, identity card and important documents with you.
Do not bring any electronic devices, mobile phones, watches or calculators.
Maintain discipline and peace.
Rajsamand ready: Hope for a new example of transparency in examinations
A combined team of Rajsamand district administration and police has completed the review of security, traffic, transport and communication arrangements at all the centres. CCTV cameras, body scanners and anti-smuggling units have been installed at the centres. This exam is being seen as “Operation Transparency” in the district, where the hard work of the candidates and the vigilance of the administration will together decide the success of the exam.
