A warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in hilly states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from July 6 to 11. People have been advised to remain alert in view of the danger of landslides in areas like Shimla, Manali, Dehradun and Nainital.
Rain accompanied with strong winds (40-60 km/hr) and lightning is likely to occur over many districts of Jammu and Kashmir (including Srinagar and Jammu) till July 11.
