According to IMD, people in a large area extending from Delhi, UP and Bihar to Himachal Pradesh may have to face more difficulties today. During this time, winds are likely to blow at a speed of 70 to 85 kilometers per hour.
According to the Meteorological Department, today there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan. IMD further said that on March 20 and 21, there may be light to moderate rain at isolated places over eastern Uttar Pradesh, along with which there is a possibility of lightning and strong winds with speed up to 50 kilometers per hour. On March 20, hail may also fall at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh.
Rain will continue in Delhi even today
The weather is going to deteriorate once again in Delhi today. According to IMD, there is a strong possibility of rain with strong winds in the capital. Light to moderate rain is expected in areas ranging from Laxmi Nagar, Vinod Nagar, Anand Vihar, ITO and Rajghat to Uttam Nagar. During this time, winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 14 degrees Celsius.
Weather will worsen in UP also
In Uttar Pradesh, a change in weather patterns has been seen in many districts of the state since Friday morning. The Meteorological Department has predicted that today there will be rain in some areas across UP, while thunder will be heard in some areas. There is also a possibility of strong and gusty winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. In view of this situation, IMD has issued ‘Orange Alert’. According to the information received from the Regional Meteorological Center located in Lucknow, there is a possibility of hailstorm in 26 districts of UP on Friday. Additionally, strong winds are expected in around 50 districts today. Along with these warnings, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding rain. It is expected that today there will be a change in the weather in the areas from Agra to Gorakhpur and Meerut to Varanasi.
Where will it rain?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in both eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain in Kanpur, Agra, Badaun, Etah, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Mathura, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Saharanpur and Mainpuri. The maximum temperature in Lucknow today is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 17 degrees Celsius.
Alert issued for Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for storm and heavy rain in Bihar today. The districts of Bihar where there is a strong possibility of rain include Katihar, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj, Khagaria, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga and Madhubani. The maximum temperature in Patna today is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees Celsius.
