The weather suddenly took a turn in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday afternoon, due to which people had to face a lot of trouble. Within a short time, dark clouds appeared in the sky and it started raining heavily along with a strong storm. After this, hailstorm was also recorded in many areas, due to which the weather became more cold and unpredictable.
Due to the sudden change in weather, people and vehicles traveling on the roads had to face a lot of problems. At many places, due to strong winds, branches of trees broke and fell and the traffic system was also affected. People returning from offices and markets were seen taking shelter here and there to avoid rain and hail.
According to weather experts, this change has happened due to western disturbance and local weather activities. Due to sudden change in humidity and temperature, there was a situation of rain and hailstorm accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Power supply was also affected for some time in many parts of Delhi-NCR, although efforts were later made to normalize the situation. The weather department had already predicted light rain and strong winds, but the hailstorm surprised people.
The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy sky and light rain for the coming few hours. Also, people have been advised to remain alert and avoid open places.
While there has been a drop in temperature due to this sudden weather change, people have got some relief from the scorching heat. However, there are reports of damage at some places due to hail and strong winds.
At present, the administration and meteorological department are keeping an eye on the situation and people have been appealed to avoid unnecessary travel.
