Weather Update Today: Rain havoc in 21 states today, warning of strong winds up to 75 KM/H, IMD issued alert

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 21 states of the country today. ‘Red alert’ of excessive rainfall has been issued for four states. During this period, there is also a possibility of strong winds and storms at a speed of 75 to 80 km per hour. Monsoon will remain active due to the depression formed in the interior areas of South Jharkhand and North Odisha.

**Rain warning for next 5 days**

IMD has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in many states in the next five days. There is a possibility of heavy rain in states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Heavy rain is also likely over various parts of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Konkan region, Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra (including Mumbai).

**Chance of rain in Uttarakhand and Punjab today**

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in six districts of Uttarakhand today: Dehradun, Pauri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Bageshwar. Heavy rain is also expected in Chandigarh and some districts of Punjab, including Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Bathinda and Mansa.

**Rain warning for Haryana and Bihar today**

IMD has today issued a rain warning for seven districts of Haryana: Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Nuh and Palwal. ‘Orange alert’ of heavy rain has also been issued for seven districts of Rajasthan. ‘High alert’ of heavy and heavy rain has been issued for Bihar from July 7 to July 12. Today, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued for 31 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

**Rain warning for these states in the next two days**

According to IMD, rain warning will be in force for 22 districts of Uttar Pradesh tomorrow i.e. on July 8. ‘Red alert’ has been issued for two districts of West Bengal and ‘Orange alert’ has been issued for three districts. ‘Red alert’ has been issued for five districts of Odisha and ‘Orange alert’ has been issued for seven other districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Goa, Telangana and Karnataka on July 9.

**Yellow alert for rain in Delhi for 5 days**

Monsoon has been active in the national capital Delhi for the last two days. Earlier, there were pre-monsoon rains in this area, but for the last two days, monsoon clouds have been causing heavy rains, which has given relief to the people of Delhi from the heat. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi even today and has issued a warning of continuous rain for the next five days. During this period, along with rain, there will also be thunderstorms and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.
