Jodhpur. Under the joint aegis of District Administration, Laghu Udyog Bharti, District Industry and Commerce Center and Enterprise Promotion Institute, a state level Women Entrepreneur Conference was organized with dignity on Sunday under the Western Rajasthan Industry Handicraft Festival – 2026. The chief guest of the conference was Deputy Chief Minister, Rajasthan Diya Kumari. Describing the conference as a decisive step towards women leadership, self-reliance and industrial empowerment, she said that “when the command of entrepreneurship is in the hands of women, then along with the economy, the society also gets empowered.” Congratulating the organizers for this conference organized on the glorious land of Jodhpur, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that the role of small, cottage and handicraft industries is very important in building a self-reliant economy. Such events that promote environmental protection, Swadeshi and provide a platform to local artists and businessmen develop a sustainable industrial environment. He appreciated the efforts made to create awareness among women entrepreneurs by connecting them with financial institutions and providing them loans, marketing of products, handicraft exhibitions, resource availability, training, new technologies and schemes. She said that “women’s participation is a guarantee of success.”
The Deputy Chief Minister said that women leadership is decisive in the vision of self-reliant India. “Rajasthan is not just a geographical region, but a tradition of thought, culture and entrepreneurship,” where every district and village has some product or the other linked to the hard work and dreams of women. She underlined that today’s women are not supporting but standing in a leadership role – creating opportunities for the family, society and future generations.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiatives like Mudra Yojana, Startup India, PM Vishwakarma Yojana and Self-Help Groups have brought women into the mainstream of economic progress. At the same time, policy stability, administrative transparency and industry-friendly environment are developing rapidly in Rajasthan under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma.
She clarified that “Rising Rajasthan is not just a slogan—it is a message of a state ready for investment, innovation and women leadership.”
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the priority of the government is to connect women with easy credit facilities, skill development, training, safety-health, digital platforms and to provide local to global access to their products. Inspiring women entrepreneurs, she said that you are not weak, you are full of possibilities. Your confidence is the identity of Rajasthan and your hard work is the strength of India.
He expressed confidence that the coming time will be the golden era of women entrepreneurship and Rajasthan will become the leading state of the country in tourism-culture as well as industry and women leadership.
On this occasion, Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi along with Anju Bajaj, Anju Singh, Joint Director (District Industries Centre) Pooja Mehra Surana, Priyamvada, Rumadevi and ACP Chhavi Sharma were present. The enthusiastic participation and discussions of women entrepreneurs in the conference made the event inspiring.
