A review meeting was held on Thursday in the Panchayat Samiti Auditorium Deeg under the chairmanship of District Collector Mayank Manish regarding the successful and well-organized organization of International Yoga Day to be held on 21st June 2026.
District Collector and block level officers of the district joined the meeting through video conferencing. During the meeting, the participation of various departments, allocation of responsibilities and necessary administrative arrangements for the successful implementation of the upcoming Yoga Day were discussed.
During the review, the District Collector directed that this big event of International Yoga Day should be organized with full dignity in all the government institutions from the district level and sub-division level to every Gram Panchayat level of the district along with private institutions, tourist places, Ayushman Arogya Mandir and other places. He laid special emphasis on inviting all the public representatives of the area to make this campaign a mass movement and ensuring maximum participation from every section of the society.
He said that yoga sessions should not be limited to only the main campuses but should be organized compulsorily at other places including Gram Panchayat buildings, veterinary sub-centres and medical sub-centres located in remote rural areas, so that the common people can get its direct benefits. Keeping in view the impact of summer season, he instructed the officials to take special care of public facilities at each identified event venue.
He asked to ensure adequate shade at the venues, uninterrupted supply of cool drinking water and deployment of medical teams equipped with necessary medicines to deal with any emergency. Along with this, instructions were given to timely map and appoint skilled and qualified yoga instructors at all the identified places to conduct yoga practices with complete authenticity.
The officials present in the meeting were instructed to work with mutual coordination so that this event could be given grandeur as per the intention of the state government. During this, Additional Chief Executive Officer Mohan Singh, Deputy Director of Ayurveda Department Rajesh Jangid and other officers and employees were present in the Panchayat Samiti auditorium.
